We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced Project Coordinator to join our expanding Project Management Office department. You will play a key part in the successful delivery of strategic IT and business projects, as well as critical internal initiatives by coordinating activities, managing stakeholder communications, and supporting project execution. This role is based at our head office in Tamworth, working 9:00am - 5:30pm.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with project managers to plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities for timely delivery.
• Monitor project progress, deadlines, and budgets, proactively addressing deviations.
• Prepare detailed project documentation, including scope documents, business cases, project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
• Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure alignment.
• Track project expenses and resources, maintaining accurate records and producing reports.
• Support risk management and issue resolution, escalating challenges promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Contribute to improving project management practices by implementing best practices and process enhancements.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
• Proven experience in project coordination or project administration, with a strong track record of delivering projects successfully
• Strong organisational and time management skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to effectively prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with key stakeholders and diverse teams at all levels, including great telephone manner and client facing experience
• Proficiency in project management software and the Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent written procedure and documentation with the ability to control training and open session environments
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and systems along with basic knowledge of security and data privacy principles
• UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
• Experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO) or structured project delivery environment.
Education & Qualifications
• Prince2 or Project Management certification would be
advantageous.
